Initially, the University's jurisdiction covered the United Provinces of Agra, Central India, and Rajputana, with 14 affiliated colleges and 2530 students

Renamed as Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University on September 24, 1995, the institution now serves the educational needs of seven districts in Agra Division
